- Malin reserves were defeated by their Glenfin counterparts, 3-09 to 0-13. although they will be disappointed with the result as they could very easily have won the game, a combination of poor shooting plus gifting two goals to Glenfin proved their downfall. The reserves were 2-07 to 0-05 behind at half time and they improved considerably in the second period but left themselves too much to do. Scorers for the reserves were William Logan(0-9,7 frees), Conor Farren(0-2), Eddie Kelly(free) and Seamus Doherty.

Hurling
Malin hosted its first ever hurling blitz on Saturday 25th where a very enjoyable time was had by all. Clubs represented included Carndonagh, Burt and Malin. This had been the first time many of our young Malin players from age five plus had played in a competitive match and they gave a very good account of themselves. Malin have been training for about ten weeks and all the effort put in over this time by the players and the coaches was evident in the skills shown on Saturday.
Malin fielded three teams and were successful against Carndonagh in the under tens and played very well against Carndonagh and Burt at under eight.
We would like to thank all the players and parents for their efforts and support. Also thanks to the team managers and players of Carndonagh and Burt who made the effort to come to Malin for the blitz and to Mary, Fearghal and Gerard for refereeing and helping to make the day a success. Hurling and Camogie training takes place every Friday from 5.30 to 6.30 and all new members from five years upwards are welcome.
