Match Results
- Well done to the senior men and ladies on their good wins on Sunday.
- Malin reserves 2-07 McCumhaills reserves 2-10 - The reserves were defeated by McCumhaills on Sunday, the wind have a major bearing on the game. Malin, playing with the wind, led by 1-02 to no score early on, Steven McLaughlin finding the net and a second goal from Daniel McDaid had them 2-03 to 0-01 up in the first half but a goal from the visitors late in the half left the score at the break 2-04 to 1-02. A speculative shot which dropped under the bar gave McCumhaills a somewhat fortunate goal early in the second half to leave just a point between the sides, from then on the visitors were dominant, using the wind to full advantage to add a further 7 points to Malin’s three although the home side were unfortunate to see the McCumhaills keeper bring off a good save from Daniel McDaid’s penalty. Malin reserves; Ruari Kelly, Keiron McColgan, Neil McGilloway, John C McLaughlin, Finbarr Collins, Patrick McLaughlin, Simon Ward, Brendan McLaughlin, Danny Lafferty, Eddie Kelly(0-2, 2 frees), Gerard McLaughlin(0-2, 1 free), Seamus Doherty(0-2,2 frees), Steven McLaughlin(1-0), Daniel McDaid(1-01), Martin Ward.
- The Junior B side also enjoyed a victory over McCumhaills on Sunday evening, winning by 1-10 to 0-06.
- Well done to two of the senior ladies side, Roisin McDonald and Caroline Kelly, both of whom will be representing Donegal in the All Ireland Ladies Minor Final after they helped to defeat Galway last Wednesday in the semi-final.
- Malin U-21s progressed to the next round of the A Championship after Buncrana were unable to field on Wednesday evening.
