Commiserations to the ladies side who bowed out of the Ulster championship at the semi-final stage on Saturday (match report is available by clicking here). There is no shame in being beaten by a side as good as Cappagh. The girls played well but struggled against a very fit, fast moving side who have the Tyrone senior full back in Paula Quinn while Clodagh Poyntz, Teri McCusker and Aisling Porter also looked excellent players in a side that had no visible weaknesses. 2009 has nonetheless been a very successful year for Malin ladies and hopefully the girls can add the Donegal junior league title to the championship before the year is out. The girls would like to thank the large support that traveled to Killyclogher on Saturday, it was very much appreciated. - The senior side had no game at the weekend, they have one league game left at home to St Nauls but are already assured of a promotion play-off place against either Termon or Glenfin.
- Congratulations to the Under-14 side who won their third trophy of the year on Friday evening by beating Burt in the Inishowen B final, adding this to the County Division 3 title and the Northern Board title. The boys won by 2-11 to 2-09 with an excellent team performance where every player played their part. The Under 14s would like to thank Joe and Helen in the Millbrook Diner in Malin for sponsoring food after the game and also Patrick McLaughlin(R) for providing crisps and drinks.

Match Results
- Congratulations to the ladies side who won their semi-final quite comfortably on Sunday in Glenswilly. Malin ladies now meet Convoy in the Junior League Final on Friday in Buncrana where they will be striving to add the League title to the 2009 Championship title which they won a number of weeks ago. Malin defeated Convoy in the Championship semi-final and so will carry the favorites tag into this game but they cannot afford to be complacent against a side who have a proven goal scorer in former Malin player Denise McElhinney. Throw in time for the game is 8pm and the club would seek as much support as possible for the ladies on Friday night.
- The senior side are home to St Nauls in the final round of 2009 Division 2 games this weekend and will be looking for another home win against a side battling against relegation to Division 3. At the time of writing, date and times are unclear but check local press for details and all support is welcome.

Match Results
- Congratulations once again to the ladies side who added the Junior league title to the Junior championship on Friday evening with another fine performance in Buncrana (read the full match report by clicking here). The girls and management team can take a well earned rest now until 2010 when they will play at Intermediate level in the county.
- ACL Division 2
- Malin 0-07 St Nauls 0-11: Malin finished their league campaign with a defeat at home to St Nauls although results elsewhere rendered the game meaningless as the win was not enough to put St Nauls into the relegation play-offs and they will now play division 3 football next year. Malin had nothing to play for anyway as they had already qualified for the promotion play-off against Termon and St Nauls looked much the hungrier from the start, taking a five points to nothing lead in the first 10 minutes with the wind at their backs. Malin did pick up the pace in the second quarter, hitting three points while Conor Farren and Michael Doherty might have got goals but Nauls finished the half with two more scores, going in 0-7 to 0-3 ahead at the break.
The second half was an even enough affair, although Malin had quite a lot of possession they struggled for scores, hitting a number of wides while they were unfortunate to see a couple of efforts come back off the woodwork. As it was, both sides hit four scores apiece in the second half, the early scoring burst from St Nauls proving the difference at the end.
This weekend Malin will meet Termon to decide who gets promoted to Division 1 next year and also the right to play Gaoth Dobhair for the Division 2 title. Malin will know that they will have to perform better than Sunday but they will also know that they are more than capable of winning against Termon, at the time of writing date and venue are unknown but check local press for details and the club would seek as much support as possible for the senior side this weekend. - There was no reserve game on Sunday as St Nauls were unable to travel.
Scor
Congratulations and well done to everyone that took part in the Scor, Inishowen heat, held in Clonmany on Saturday night.
The club wishes the best of luck to everyone who is going forward to represent the club in the county final in Glenswilly next month.
