Club Sports Daysports day
The 2010 sports day will take place on Sunday 12th September with proceeds going to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The sports will begin at 1-30 sharp with races for all age groups, also egg and spoon, sack races etc while there will be numerous sideshows. This year will see the resumption of the ‘Townland Challenge’ where teams (4 men and 2 women) from each Townland will compete against each other in tug-o –war, football, and an obstacle race with the winners receiving a plaque and medals plus, more importantly, bragging rights for pride of the parish! It all promises to be mighty craic with a bar-b –q and live music in the evening and the club would seek as much support as possible on the day.
