Men's Senior Football
The Malin senior team continues to show the skill and determination that has seen it progress up through the divisions over the past number of years. 
2008 was a difficult year for the team, with the loss of a number of key players hitting hard. The season proved to be a 'tale of two halves' for the men's senior team, with a poor first eight games followed by a turnaround in the second half of the season. Loss of players, a growing injury list, players working away from home and a fair share of bad luck, left the team in a precarious position at the bottom of the table. However, the senior side began to turn around their year and move steadily up the table. In a playoff against Fanad Gaels at the end of the season, the team gave one of their best performances of the season, winning by nine points and retaining their Division 2 status for 2009.
The team also had success at local level, winning the Inishowen Championship and lifting the Packie McGonagle Memorial Cup (named after our former club man).
Men's Reserve Football
The malin reserve team continues to grow in strength. The reserves had a successful 2008 season, with an impressive 100% home record in the league. 
Unfortunately, they weren't as fortunate away from home, and narrowly missed out on the league title. In the Championship, a third leg play
off against Termon was followed by a quarter final replay against Dungloe. Unfortunately, the team were narrowly beaten, but the form showed in this match, and throughout the season, holds promise for 2009.
